Senior International Procurement Specialist for Agricultural Development

About the Role:
The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is seeking a Senior International Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for providing strategic analysis and advice on procurement-related issues to support our regional divisions' programmes and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies that align with IFAD's project procurement policies and procedures.
- Provide technical assistance to country offices and project teams on procurement management and related risks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential liabilities and risks in IFAD's activities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of capacity-building programs for staff and partners.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in international public procurement.
Requirements:
- Advanced university degree in business administration, public administration, law, commerce, finance, or a related field.
- At least five years of progressively responsible professional experience in project procurement activities in an international organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated expertise in procurement management, risk assessment, and capacity building.
- Fluency in English and French, with proficiency in Spanish or Arabic desirable.
