Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Procurement Strategist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented group of professionals who share your passion for procurement and development.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with IFAD's overall goals and objectives;
- Provide technical guidance and support to regional divisions and project teams on procurement matters;
- Ensure compliance with IFAD's procurement policies and procedures;
- Manage and coordinate the procurement process from start to finish, including preparing bid documents, evaluating bids, and awarding contracts;
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including country directors, government officials, and contractors;
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and trends in procurement and apply this knowledge to improve IFAD's procurement processes;
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, law, commerce, finance, or a related field;
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in project procurement activities in an international organization;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders;
- Proven record of delivering complex procurement programs and managing procurement risks;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex procurement issues;
- Knowledge of procurement policies, rules, and regulations applicable to IFAD HQ and/or Country Programmes/Projects;
- Fluency in English and French (4 - Excellent); desirable: Spanish or Arabic (3 - Good).
The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
