Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Agricultural Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic guidance on procurement matters related to our agricultural development programs. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing effective procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services;
- Providing technical assistance to country offices and project teams on procurement procedures and best practices;
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop and implement policies and guidelines on procurement;
- Ensuring compliance with IFAD's procurement regulations and standards.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Law, Commerce, Finance, or a related field;
- At least five years of progressively responsible experience in project procurement activities in an international organization;
- Proven expertise in procurement management, including experience with contract management and risk assessment;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
