Project Procurement Officer

International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Procurement Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of procurement activities for IFAD's projects and programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Manage procurement processes, including tendering, contracting, and contract management.
- Ensure compliance with IFAD's procurement policies and procedures.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to project teams and country offices on procurement matters.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize procurement risks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on procurement performance, including budget tracking and expenditure analysis.
- Advanced university degree in business administration, public administration, law, commerce, finance, or a related field.
- At least five years of progressively responsible professional experience in project procurement activities in an international organization.
- Proven record of supporting and delivering complex procurement programs and projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
The successful candidate will be based in IFAD's headquarters in Rome, Italy, and will be required to travel frequently to IFAD's country offices and project sites.
