We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Investment Officer to join our team at the African Development Bank. As a key member of our Senior Vice-Presidency, you will play a critical role in supporting the President in the day-to-day management of the Bank Group.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor the financial and operational performance of impaired projects, offering recovery solutions and executing agreed workout strategies.
- Prepare regular reports on project resolution activities and identify lessons learned to disseminate SNOU's workout experience to other investment departments.
- Prepare financial forecasts, perform cash flow analysis, and participate in due diligence of companies to determine options for approaching investment resolutions.
- Conduct business reviews, interact with accountants, legal, financial, and sectoral consultants, and liaise with senior management of investee companies.
- Prepare action plans and different resolution options for non-performing or impaired investee companies for presentation to the internal Credit Risk Committee.
- A Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications in Accounting, Legal, or Banking are a strong advantage.
- A minimum of six (6) years of relevant progressive experience.
- Formal insolvency practitioner license/membership of professional trade bodies is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrable track record and professional experience of working in a workout or recovery team for a bank or financial institution.
