The African Development Bank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Investment Officer to join its Treasury Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple fixed income investment portfolios for the Bank Group, with a focus on capital preservation, profitability, and liquidity maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Manage fixed income investment portfolios for the Bank Group, including portfolio optimization, risk management, and performance monitoring.
- Develop and implement investment strategies to achieve the Bank's investment objectives, including asset allocation, security selection, and cash management.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of investment strategies with the Bank's overall business objectives.
- Provide regular portfolio performance reports to senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and developments, and make recommendations to the Bank's investment committee on investment opportunities and risks.
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in international capital markets, with a focus on fixed income investments.
- Proven track record of managing complex fixed income portfolios, with a strong understanding of investment strategies and risk management techniques.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Fluency in English or French, with a working knowledge of the other language.
