Fraud Team Leader

Black Pen Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Fraud Team Leader to join our client's team. As a key member of the fraud prevention team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to prevent and mitigate fraud globally.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the day-to-day work of the fraud team, including fraud prevention and mitigation across various funding methods.
- Develop and monitor strategies, tools, and processes to deliver superior fraud detection while balancing approval rates and P&L impacts.
- Investigate payment recalls and chargebacks, and manage resolving queued transactions within service level agreements.
- Compile and implement security measures and fraud prevention strategies.
- Interact with banks, clients, and third parties to inform risk-based decision making.
- Maintain and improve fraud analysis models to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of company systems.
- Determine existing fraud trends by analyzing accounts and transaction patterns.
- Identify system improvements to prevent fraudulent activities.
- Generate risk management reports for management.
- At least 3 years of experience in risk or fraud management in the payments, card acquiring, or banking industry.
- Experience managing a fraud or risk team is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Visa and Mastercard risk tools is an advantage.
- Financial services, online payments, e-commerce, and mobile wallet experience is required.
- Fintech and cryptocurrency experience is required.
- CFE, Certified Fraud Examiner, is essential.
- Intermediate to advanced SQL skills are an advantage.
- Familiarity with blockchain analytics tools is required.
- Enhanced knowledge of financial crime, AML, and STR/SAR directives is required.
- Proficient in monitoring systems and rules tuning.
- Working knowledge of forecasting and KPIs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of integrity.
- Ability to work under pressure and independently.
