Senior Internal Auditor

The African Development Bank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Internal Auditor to join its Office of the Auditor General. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing independent and objective assurance and consulting services to the Bank's operations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic internal audit and advisory/consulting services to the Bank's activities and operations.
- Contribute to the Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP) to ensure the highest standards of internal audit performance.
- Lead audit teams and conduct audits of Bank-wide activities and operations, including travel to Member Countries.
- Prepare audit reports and recommendations to improve the Bank's operations and controls.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and provide advice to other departments on internal control and audit matters.
- A minimum of a Master's degree in Audit, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, with a professional accounting or auditing qualification.
- A minimum of six years of auditing experience in an internationally recognized professional accounting firm or an international financial institution.
- Demonstrated experience with Internal Audit Quality Assurance and Improvement Programs.
- Sound knowledge and auditing experience of private and public sector operations, financial instruments, and information systems.
- Good interpersonal, supervisory, project management, communication, and analytical skills.
