Our Non-Sovereign Credit Risk Unit is a key part of this effort, working closely with our Operations Departments to ensure that credit risks are accurately assessed and managed.
We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Risk Manager to join our team in Abuja. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, with experience in credit assessment and deal negotiation in emerging markets.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Unit Head and other colleagues to develop policies and guidelines for non-sovereign credit risk assessment and management. They will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on compliance with these policies, as well as contributing to the development of strategic risk metrics and a risk culture within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate non-sovereign credit risks
- Assess and monitor the creditworthiness of new and existing clients
- Contribute to the development of policies and guidelines for non-sovereign credit risk assessment and management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of credit ratings and risk assessments
- Provide regular reports to senior management on credit risk trends and issues
Requirements:
- Masters degree or equivalent in Risk Management, International Finance, Economics or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in credit assessment and risk management in private sector banking or multilateral development banking
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex financial data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of capital adequacy standards and risk management best practices
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, 80-100% workload
- Permanent employment contract, with possibility of fixed-term extension
Salary Range:$60,000 - $90,000 per annum
