Job Summary

African Development Bank is seeking a skilled professional to lead the implementation of its Ten-Year Strategy and High Fives in West Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the Bank's Integrate Africa strategy, focusing on broadening engagement, building trusted partnerships, enhancing capability, expanding knowledge offerings, and accelerating regional projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mainstreaming Regional Integration: Develop strategic documents that integrate regional perspectives into Bank programmatic papers, including Country Strategy Papers, Diagnostic Notes, and Regional Integration Strategy Papers.
  • Project Design and Implementation: Provide technical support for flagship regional infrastructure projects, ensuring the integration of regional cooperation frameworks.
  • Policymaking Support: Offer specialized advice on resource mobilization, portfolio management, high-level policy dialogue, and regional integration for Integrate Africa.
  • Portfolio Management: Monitor the performance of the Bank's regional integration portfolio, ensuring timely tracking of progress and outcomes.
  • Pipeline Development: Collaborate with sector departments to develop a robust pipeline of transformative regional operations.
  • Partnership Management: Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with international institutions, private sector companies, and continental organizations.
  • Innovative Financing Solutions: Promote financial models for regional infrastructure development, leveraging public and private capital sources.
  • Representation and Advocacy: Represent the Bank at global forums, engaging with senior officials to advocate for Integrate Africa initiatives.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Master's degree in Economics, International Relations, Law, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience in regional integration, policy dialogue, infrastructure finance, and project management.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of regional cooperation frameworks in Africa, particularly in West Africa.
  • Ability to analyze stakeholder actions and translate strategic thinking into compelling plans.
