We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Investment Officer to join our team at the African Development Bank. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the bank's mission of promoting economic growth and social progress across the continent.
About UsThe African Development Bank is the premier pan-African development institution, established in 1964. Our main focus is on developing the private sector, deepening the financial sector, improving infrastructure, accelerating industrialization, and boosting intra-African trade.
Responsibilities- Identify business opportunities and structure transactions related to private investments in transport and urban development infrastructures and services
- Originate projects for Bank financing, including processing mandates, conducting due diligence, structuring deals, negotiating terms and documentation, arranging syndications, and processing internal approvals
- Liaise and coordinate with other Investment Officers and Bank staff in business development and the origination of a good quality investment pipeline
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking or related areas, plus preferably a bachelor's degree in civil/transport engineering
- At least five (5) years of professional experience in project infrastructure project finance, consultancy, with specific experience in emerging markets
- Proven ability to identify, process, and negotiate transactions in the infrastructure sector from a private sector standpoint and in particular related to transportation assets and services
As an Infrastructure Investment Officer at the African Development Bank, you can expect a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience.
