The International Finance Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Investment Officer to join its team in West and Central Africa. As a key member of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Transaction Advisory Services team, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the regional team and management in the execution of PPP transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to origination and marketing activities across the West and Central Africa region, identifying opportunities for PPP transactions and developing new client relationships.
- Understand the legal and regulatory impediments for private sector participation in the region and work closely with other World Bank Group teams to overcome these challenges.
- Lead the day-to-day management of project teams working on sell-side PPP mandates, reviewing legal and technical outputs, documentation, and financial models.
- Develop transaction structure options for PPP projects, provide innovative solutions, and present recommendations to management and clients.
- Participate in meetings with government clients and investors, and organize and manage the tendering process of projects, including marketing, prequalification, and project award.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree in business, finance, or economics.
- At least 10-12 years of experience in project finance, corporate finance, M&A, and privatizations, or private equity funds in infrastructure.
- Knowledge of overall industry sector trends and experience in infrastructure transactions/PPPs, preferably in Africa, with a proven track record.
- Business development and client relationship skills, track record, and ability to focus on clients' needs effectively.
