Senior Investment Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced private sector infrastructure expert to join our team at the African Development Bank.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project finance, infrastructure development, and investment transactions, with a proven track record of success in emerging markets.
Job Description:- Identify and structure private investment opportunities in transport and urban development infrastructures and services;
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, banking partners, and government officials to identify and pursue new business opportunities;
- Assess the credit quality and development impact of potential investments, and make recommendations to management;
- Prepare project concept notes and appraisal reports for presentation to senior management and the Board of Directors;
- Execute loans, guarantees, or equity financing, including processing mandates, conducting due diligence, and negotiating terms and documentation;
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field, plus a bachelor's degree in civil/transport engineering;
- At least 5 years of professional experience in project infrastructure project finance, consultancy, with specific experience in emerging markets;
- Strong analytical and financial structuring skills, including financial modeling experience, and sound business judgment;
- Good understanding of the Transport infrastructure and related services, in particular, Ports, Airports, Highways, and Mass Transit Systems, and Infrastructure markets;
This is a full-time position based in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, with frequent travel to other African countries. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, assessing the credit quality and development impact of potential investments, and executing loans, guarantees, or equity financing.
