VEHICLE DESIGN

The Engineer (Design) is responsible for visualizing and generating feasible design concepts in3D/2D, considering weight/cost targets. The Engineer is responsible for doing the layout and design of chassis systems and ensures proper interfacing with adjoining systems. The Engineer also needs to maintain tolerances stack resulting in gaps/flush variation on vehicle. The engineer coordinates with vendors for delivery of parts as per quality, cost and time targets.

Suggest VA/VE ideas to reduce the product material cost.

Chassis systems layout & design of all parts and layout finalization.

Engage in concept visualization and 3D/2D best practices.

Carry out vendor evaluation for technical and process capability

Preparing design manuals

Part validation for fitment and conduction of Pilot Production trials for mass production of new models.

BE/ BTech in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering

• Knowledge of advance surfacing, 3D modelling and 2D drawing in Catia V5/ Any CAD tool.

• Good understanding of DFM, DFA, DFMEA and GD&T.

• Knowledge of required manufacturing process in frame design.

• Exposure to Sheet metal analysis software

• Good understanding of FEA analysis for chassis system parts

• Experienced in handling suppliers and internal/external customers
