We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Business Development Associate to support our growth strategy in Senegal and the broader West African region. The ideal candidate will be a strategic contributor to management, actively engaging with agents to drive sales, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting local marketing initiatives. 

Role Responsibilities

Agent Engagement & Sales Activation 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with agents and partners across Senegal. 

• Conduct regular field visits and virtual check-ins to ensure alignment with sales targets.

• Provide training, motivation, and support to agents to enhance performance. 

Business Development & Strategic Input 

• Actively contribute ideas and insights to management to improve market penetration. 

• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels. 

• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions. 

Sales & Marketing Support 

• Collaborate with marketing teams to design and implement local campaigns. 

• Assist in the development of promotional materials tailored to the Senegalese market. 

• Track and report on campaign effectiveness and agent performance. 

Reporting & Analysis 

• Prepare regular reports on sales performance, agent engagement, and market feedback. 

• Use data to recommend actionable improvements and growth strategies. 

Role Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or agent network management, ideally within the remittance, fintech, or banking sectors. 

• Strong understanding of the Senegalese market and consumer behavior. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

• Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Finance, or related field advantageous

• Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. 

• Fluency in French and English is required; Wolof language skills are a strong asset. 

• Individuals who speak Wolof or have significant professional exposure to the fintech, banking, or remittance sectors in Senegal are strongly encouraged to apply. 

• Experience working with agent-based networks, mobile money, or digital financial services is highly valued.
