Investment Director

Our client is a leading investment platform focused on long-term growth opportunities across Africa. With offices in strategic regions, the firm invests in high-potential businesses that drive economic development, particularly in sectors such as financial services, healthcare, consumer goods, logistics, and B2B services.

As part of its expansion in West Africa, the firm is recruiting a Director of Investments to lead its operations in Abidjan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Originate and execute new investment opportunities
• Conduct deep analysis of target companies and relevant markets or sectors
• Lead deal structuring, financial modeling, and negotiations
• Manage internal investment processes and prepare decision-making materials
• Monitor and support portfolio companies in their growth and value creation journey
• Supervise and mentor junior team members
• Contribute to regional strategy and pipeline development

Candidate Profile:

• Masters degree or equivalent from a leading business or engineering school
• 15+ years of professional experience, including in private equity, M&A, transaction services, or strategy consulting
• Strong track record in deal execution and portfolio management
• Excellent analytical and leadership skills
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
• Professional fluency in English
• Prior exposure to African markets is a strong plus
