About the Senior Vice-Presidency ComplexThe Senior Vice-Presidency is responsible for supporting the President in the day-to-day management of the Bank Group. It aims to drive performance culture and ensure implementation and monitoring of key corporate decisions.
About the Department for Development Impact and ResultsThe Department is at the centre of the Bank's efforts to improve operational and corporate performance, accelerate delivery, and increase impact on development.
About the PositionThe Chief Quality Officer will support the Bank's strong focus on the quality of its operations and their development impact through quality assurance and enhancement activities.
Main Objectives:- Support the Bank's focus on operation quality and development impact.
- Design, develop, and improve quality assurance tools and quality management systems.
- Build and disseminate operations-related knowledge.
- Quality Assurance and Enhancement: Conducting and coordinating quality assurance of Bank sovereign operations and country strategies.
- Tools and Guidelines: Leading or contributing to periodic review and update of quality assurance tools and guidance.
- Staff Learning and Coaching: Spearheading staff development activities, including in the areas of quality assurance and results-based management.
- Knowledge Management and Communication: Leading key knowledge dissemination and communication activities.
- Special Assignments: Leading on or contributing to specific studies, analytical work, and events related to operations quality.
- Relationship Management: Maintaining and building effective working relationships with staff across departments.
- Master's degree in business administration, economics, development studies, or related disciplines.
- At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in project preparation and implementation and/or portfolio management in multilateral development institutions.
- Strong knowledge of operations policies, procedures, quality management systems, and review processes of multilateral development banks or other development agencies.
- Familiarity with monitoring, evaluation, results, and learning approaches in the international development context.
- Experience as a trainer, facilitator, or instructor for workshops and learning events.
Note: Private sector experience and proficiency in SAP are added advantages.
