POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager (PM) shall be the Contractor's primary point of contact for all matters pertaining to this task order and shall bear ultimate responsibility for the ensuring requirements described in the SOW are met. The Project Manager shall be responsible for the facilitation and coordination of efforts to assist Cote d'Ivoire in Sub-Saharan Africa in the training and equipping of Forces Armées de Cote d'Ivoire (FACI) units responsible for protecting against threats and expansion attempts.
This position is in anticipation of a contract award. Please note the location of this position will be in Cote d'Ivoire full-time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist and oversee the coordination of training of a total of 6,000 FACI soldiers deploying to the Northern Operational Zone (ZON).
- Advise on management and delivery practices.
- Assist with planning of instruction programs to train and maintain training regimen.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least five (5) years of directly related experience managing projects of similar scale and complexity in geographically diverse locations.
- Similar scale shall be defined as programs valued at $5 million or more.
- Similar complexity shall be defined as projects involving two or more sub‐tasks under Section 3 (i.e., training of foreign security forces, mentorship of foreign security forces, equipment procurement, and new equipment training) within the same project scope of work.
- The PM shall demonstrate at least one (1) year of direct experience working professionally in sub‐Saharan Africa.
- The PM shall demonstrate five (5) or more years of experience working in conflict zones in Africa, with a preference for experience operating in West Africa, and/or other relevant countries listed below under other Relevant Countries:
- Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Haiti, Lebanon, Colombia, Egypt, Israel, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Mexico, Guatemala, Timor-Leste, Burma, Nepal, and Philippines
- "Managing projects" shall be defined as the candidate serving as the senior‐most in‐country management official at the project level.
- Include security clearance requirements, education requirements, years of experience, knowledge/skills/abilities (would list in this order)

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
