ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is a well-established, ASX/TSX-listed gold producer with multiple operating mines across West Africa and a strong project development pipeline. As part of its continued growth strategy, the company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to provide maintenance leadership across two of its gold operations in Côte d'Ivoire.
This is a senior, hands-on operational leadership role, not a corporate or regional function. You will work directly with site teams to embed disciplined maintenance systems, lift reliability performance, and build sustainable maintenance capability across processing plant, mobile mining equipment, fixed plant and infrastructure.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the General Managers of both operations, you will lead the improvement of maintenance performance and maturity, with a primary focus on one site and structured support to the second. You will be accountable for:
Maintenance work management : disciplined planning, scheduling, resourcing, execution and close-out
Reliability & asset management : preventive/predictive strategies, defect elimination, failure analysis, asset lifecycle thinking
Performance management : KPIs, backlog health, schedule compliance, equipment reliability, availability and cost
Multi-disciplinary maintenance : processing plant, HME, fixed plant, electrical & instrumentation, infrastructure
Contractor HME governance : performance expectations, fleet condition, reliability and accountability of contractor-maintained fleets
People & capability : coaching maintenance leaders, developing local capability, building sustainable maintenance discipline
Profil
Essential:
15+ years of progressive mining maintenance experience, including significant leadership at Superintendent / Maintenance Manager level or equivalent
Mechanical Engineering degree, or a mechanical/heavy-equipment trade qualification supported by substantial mining maintenance leadership experience
Demonstrated progression through multiple levels of a mining maintenance organisation
Significant experience within a mature Tier 1 (or equivalent) mining maintenance environment with established systems and standards
Experience applying those disciplines pragmatically in a Tier 2, mid-tier or developing mining environment is highly regarded
Strong HME and/or fixed/process plant maintenance background, with breadth to lead a multidisciplinary function
Track record of improving maintenance systems, reliability and team capability not just running day-to-day maintenance
Highly regarded:
Gold / CIL processing experience
African mining operations experience
Contractor fleet oversight experience
SAP or comparable enterprise CMMS capability
Reliability or asset management qualifications
French language proficiency

WHY APPLY
This is an opportunity to shape maintenance standards and culture across two operating mines, working closely with senior site leadership on a mandate with real strategic weight, not a "maintain the status quo" role. The organisation is investing in building long-term, sustainable maintenance maturity and is looking for a leader who has operated inside high-performing Tier 1 systems and knows how to translate that discipline into results on the ground.
Applications will be treated in strict confidence.
