Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire Shuttlers Temps plein
In partnership with our client, we are seeking a Supply Acquisition Specialist to find, sign, and manage the fleet partners powering a growing corporate shuttle network in Abidjan. This role is for someone who thrives on closing deals with fleet owners in the field, then sticks around to make sure those partnerships actually work and grow. If you've built a strong track record in supply acquisition, fleet management, or field-based partner development, we'd love to meet you.

Who are we looking for?

  • You are a natural hunter who self-generates pipeline and doesn't wait for leads to come to you.
  • You are operationally rigorous. Documentation and compliance are second nature, not an afterthought.
  • You are resilient in the field and just as credible in a garage as you are in a boardroom.
  • You are someone who treats every idle bus as a personal revenue loss.
  • You are fluent in French with working knowledge of the Ivorian transport ecosystem — gares, syndicats de transporteurs, vehicle documentation, and regulatory requirements.
  •  You are comfortable with data, holding yourself to CRM discipline and able to build and defend a simple per-bus P&L.
  • You are a confident negotiator, equally credible with informal-sector operators and structured leasing companies.

Your Responsibilities:

Fleet Owner Prospection & Acquisition

  • You will build and maintain a mapped database of bus owners, small fleet operators, transport cooperatives, corporate fleets and leasing companies across Abidjan.
  •  You will run structured field prospecting across garages, dépôts, gares routières, mechanic networks, bus dealerships, and institutional fleets.
  • You will qualify supply against vehicle standards — age, seat capacity, AC condition, insurance, visite technique, carte grise and driver availability.
  •  You will own the top of the supply funnel through cold outreach, referrals, WhatsApp groups, industry associations and the supply agent network.
Lead Conversion & Contracting

  • You will run the full commercial cycle from first contact through vehicle inspection, presentation, negotiation and contract signature.
  • You will negotiate partner rates in line with the country's cost of supply target.
  • You will maintain an accurate supply pipeline in the CRM, tracking stage, probability, blockers and next actions.
Driver Onboarding & Training

  • You will run the driver certification programme for every new driver before their first revenue trip, covering app usage, route discipline, punctuality, passenger service, safety etiquette and grooming standards.
  • You will deliver all training in French.
  • You will own the driver documentation pack, including permis de conduire, casier judiciaire and references.
  •  You will run refresher sessions and corrective coaching following service incidents or poor NPS scores.
Fleet Partner Management & Retention

  • You will act as the single point of contact for all contracted fleet partners — handling performance reviews, invoicing queries, payment escalation and dispute resolution.
  • You will monitor daily supply health, including bus availability, breakdowns and no-shows.
  • You will build and, over time, supervise a network of freelance supply agents to extend your reach across the city.

What Success looks like:

  • Contracting 3–6 new buses per month during ramp-up, with at least 20% of qualified fleet owners converting to signed partners.
  • Getting signed partners from contract to first revenue trip in 14 days or less.
  • 100% driver certification completed before any driver's first trip.
  • Keeping the active bus rate at 85% or above, with 85%+ trip completion and QR check-in compliance.
  • Holding monthly fleet partner churn at 5% or below.
  •  Managing average cost per bus at or below the country target, with at least one standby bus available per corridor.

To be considered for this role you should have:

  • 2–3 years of experience in supply acquisition, fleet management, transport operations, field sales or partner/agent network development.
  • A proven, personal track record of field acquisition — not just inbox management.
  • Working knowledge of the Ivorian transport ecosystem: gares, syndicats de transporteurs, vehicle documentation, ministère des Transports requirements, insurance and visit technique cycles.
  •  Fluency in French (professional working language); basic English.
  • Comfort with data — CRM discipline, Excel/Sheets proficiency, and the ability to build and defend a simple per-bus P&L.
  •  Full mobility across Abidjan district; this role is 60%+ field-based.
  • Negotiation credibility with both informal-sector operators and structured leasing companies.
Strong plus:

  • Prior experience on the supply/driver side of a ride-hailing, logistics, last-mile or mobility platform.
  • Experience training and managing drivers at scale.
  • Existing relationships with Abidjan fleet owners.
  • A diploma in transport/logistics, business or engineering (BAC+3 minimum).

Challenges you may face in this role:

  • Balancing an aggressive new-supply acquisition target with the discipline needed to keep documentation, compliance and driver certification airtight.
  • Building trust with informal sector operators who may be wary of formal contracts, while also holding your own with structured leasing companies.
  • Staying ahead of daily supply health issues, breakdowns, no-shows, idle buses in a fast-moving field environment.
  • Managing the transition from solo hunter to team builder as you stand up the freelance agent network.

The Goodies:

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonus structure.
  • Opportunity for learning and growth in a fast-scaling mobility business.
  • Great team, working environment and supportive leadership.
  • Direct, visible impact on the company's growth in a brand-new market.
