Engineer
A purpose driven role for you
The incumbent is responsible to design in his core domain as per approved model strategy state of art engines and technologies, further improve existing products and components, support the team engagement in engine technology and research related activities and ensures delivery within CTQ parameters.
The incumbent is responsible to ensure alignment and integration of all simulation and analysis results in his designs as well as review of designs based on actual testing results and a constant dialog with manufacturing and assembly.
A Day in the life
Responsible for 3D Modelling, 2D drawing, design calculations of engine components i.e. Crankcases, Cylinder Head, cylinder block, crankshaft, con rod, piston, bearing, valve train, rocker shaft, cam train, balancer system, air intake system, Muffler, transmission, shift system design, starter system, radiator, chain &tensioner system, oil seals, clutch, throttle body, CVT system etc.
Responsible for Engine lay outing & packaging in vehicle layout
Responsible for engine components manufacturing feasibility discussions & closure with suppliers.
Responsible for Design reports preparations, DFMEA, RCA (Root cause analysis), 8D analysis for failures, engine assy related support etc.
Responsible for cost reduction, VA/VE activities
Academic Qualification & Experience
Engineering Diploma/B.E/B. Tech/ M Tech (Mechanical Engineering)
Technical Skills/Knowledge
Knowledge and proven experience in 2W engine & Transmission Design.
Expertise on design software’s preferably CATIA & Team centre (PLM).
Expertise on hand calculation sheets (Design calculations), stack up calculations etc.
Exposure on other design/simulation software’s i.e. Mat lab, Kissoft, Romax etc.
Proficiency in Drawing checking
