Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Market Intelligence

  • Build robust market intelligence targeting current and new entry areas and covering insights on; size/growth rate/competitive dynamics/barriers to entry etc. via local insights from BDM team as well through professional research agencies.
  • Responsible for brand management.
  • Create, edit and distribute all marketing materials in line with specific marketing plans.

Brand Development Communication

  • Develop & roll out targeted campaigns in order to further highlight Borlaug advantages and generate interest/recruit the right customer profile.
  • Collaborate with external agency partners to develop mobile and on-site exhibition solutions, along with supporting materials such as promotional literature.
  • Customer Protocol & Customer Events. Develop initiatives for customers to build longer term relationships.

Brand Management – Retail

  • Developing short & long-term strategies for the Borlaug brand including pack design, in-market support activities and media campaigns.
  • Define long-term marketing and business objectives based on consumer trends, category projections, market share growth, and volume/value realization targets.
  • Coordinate & synergies marketing plans in tandem with sales and distribution team to ensure harmonized activity calendar.
  • Manage & monitor allocated marketing budgets across ensure that spending is within the approved budget & in line with sales achievements.

Internal Marketing & Communications

  • Management & co-ordination of internal communication in Borlaug.
  • Management & execution of internal events e.g. Offsites, working closely with HR to build employee engagement support activities.

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor or MBA in Marketing, Business Administration, or agriculture related field.
  • A minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in marketing and branding, preferably with leading multinational companies.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
  • Strong budget management, project management, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision but also in small group settings
  • Experience in agro chemicals will be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and report writing.
  • Open to travel any regions
