Senior Engineer EDD - Engine Simulation

A highly motivated & skilled CFD / Thermal Simulation Engineer preferably in I.C engine domain to join Engine Simulation team. In this role, they will work within a group of engineers to support development of 2 Wheeler I.C engines. The candidate will be responsible for performing detailed fluid dynamics and thermal simulations, with a focus on external / in-cylinder flow, engine combustion, engine lubrication and different modes of heat transfer.

Responsible for performing 1D/3D CFD simulations of IC engine components. Simulate and analyze in-cylinder flows, fuel-air mixing, combustion processes, and heat transfer.
Responsible performing mesh generation, solver setup, post-processing, and results interpretation.
Optimize engine design parameters based on simulation insights.
Collaborate with design, testing, and performance teams to align simulations with real-world results.
Prepare technical reports, presentations for internal stakeholders and SOPs.
Contribute to model development, validation, and continuous improvement of simulation methodologies.

Engineering Diploma

Hands on experience with GT-Suite, Altair, Fluent, STAR – CCM+, AVL FIRE, Flowmaster, CATIA.

 Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, combustion, and heat transfer principles.

 Familiarity with turbulence models (e.g., RANS, LES), multiphase flow, and conjugate heat transfer (CHT).

 Proficiency in mesh generation (polyhedral, trimmed, overset meshes).

 Good scripting skills in Java, Python, or STAR-CCM+ macros for automation.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
