The African Development Bank is a premier pan-African development institution, promoting economic growth and social progress across the continent. As a Senior Investment Officer in the Financial Inclusion and Intermediation Division, you will play a critical role in developing and leading due diligence processes for financial intermediation projects.

With broad policies and objectives, you will work with limited supervision on critical tasks, leveraging your expertise in analyzing credit risks, structuring loan and other debt products, and negotiating transactions. You will also build and maintain strong relationships with clients, banking and multilateral partners, and government officials to develop specific investment opportunities.

Your key functions will include:

  • Developing a strong pipeline of good quality Financial Institutions' and Financial Intermediaries' financing opportunities
  • BUILDING AND MAINTAINING STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER DEPARTMENTS, CLIENTS, BANKING AND MULTILATERAL PARTNERS AND GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS TO DEVELOP SPECIFIC INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES
  • IDENTIFYING, UNDERTAKING, LEADING AND COORDINATING, AND MANAGING THE NECESSARY DUE DILIGENCE PROCESSES OF BANKING AND OTHER FINANCIAL INTERMEDIATION PROJECTS APPLYING DEBT, EQUITY, GUARANTEES AND RELATED BANK PRODUCTS

You will have a minimum of a Master's in Accounting, Finance or Financial Economics or any other quantitative discipline, and at least five years of relevant professional experience in private and finance sector, including hands-on experience in analyzing credit risks, structuring loan and other debt products, associated legal documentation, negotiations, and closing transactions in banking and non-banking financial institutions.

Africa presents numerous opportunities for economic transformation, and you will contribute to this effort by working closely with Regional Member Countries and other stakeholders to develop financial sector assistance that aligns with the High 5 priorities of the Bank.
