POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Trainer shall report to the Project Manager and serve as the Contractor's lead on curriculum development and training/mentorship implementation in support of Forces Armées de Cote d'Ivoire (FACI) units deploying to the Northern Operational Zone (ZON).

This position is in anticipation of a contract award. Please note the location of this position will be in Cote d'Ivoire full-time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in curriculum development and delivery to Forces Armées de Cote d'Ivoire (FACI) units in Cote d'Ivoire (CDI).
  • Train and coach relevant FACI units to provide them with the knowledge and skills to transfer alleged extremists from military custody to Gendarmerie.
  • Develop a POI for a Train-the-Trainer (T3) program designed to train FACI personnel to become instructors of the Counter-terrorism Basic Training Course.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least five (5) years of demonstrated U.S. military experience serving at the rank of E-7, O-4, or above conducting counterterrorism and/or civil-military
    • Graduate of a U.S. military or U.S. federal law enforcement academy or institution.
  • Minimum of two (2) years serving overseas in a military or contracting role.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of directly related experience training foreign military personnel.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of a directly related experience developing POI or training curricula.

  • Basic understanding of the geopolitics and security environment of the African Sahel.
  • DLPT 3/3 in French or equivalent language test.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
